A total of 280 juvenile convicts at the Shanghai Juvenile Reformatory started to receive standard school education yesterday under the state nine-year compulsory education policy, Shanghai Daily reported.

The youths will learn the same subjects as in normal schools for five mornings a week. Fifteen teachers from the Songjiang District's Silian Primary School and No. 4 Middle School have been invited to give classes at the reformatory.
