A taxi passenger
received 360,000-yuan (US$52,709) compensation after he suffered injuries in a
car crash caused by a drunk woman driver, according to the Jing'an District
People's Court.
On the early morning of September 1 last year, Xiao Li, a
27-year-old Anhui Province native, drove after drinking in a bar.
Her car
crashed into a taxi at the crossroad of Yan'an Road and Huashan Road, causing
the passenger, who was identified as Lim, to suffer a leg fracture.
The
defendants, after mediation by the judge, agreed to pay 360,000 yuan, including
115,000 yuan for medical treatment.
