Giant 'horns' set to soak up sunshine on Expo Boulevard

Construction began yesterday on the most difficult part of
the Expo Boulevard, which officials hope will become one of the highlights of
the Shanghai 2010 World Expo.
Several steel structures were erected
yesterday morning above the foundation of what will become a three-level
boulevard and one of the gateways to the Expo Park. They will be assembled into
a structure shaped like the end of a horn pointing skyward that will be about
the size of two basketball courts.
