Emergency drill a learning event

Sirens blared at the
Shanghai Xingzhi Experimental High School in Baoshan District yesterday
afternoon as students and faculty were evacuated in a civil defense drill that
was more realistic and better planned than ever before.
With support from
the Civil Defense Office and experts from East China Normal University, Xingzhi
is taking the lead among the city's schools in bringing more professionalism to
emergency drills.
