Construction on the
nation's first biological medicine manufacturing center built on specifications
set by the European Union started in the city yesterday.
The workshop
for Shanghai No 1 Biochemical & Pharmaceutical Co Ltd under Shanghai
Pharmaceutical Group will also be the first medicinal unit in the city to
undergo evaluation for Food and Drug Administration certification from the
United States.
