An information-exchange platform
between Shanghai and 15 other port cities in the Yangtze River Delta Region was
launched yesterday, local port administration bureau officials said. The
information system is expected to improve service in the port transport
industry. A research center on port management practices, supported by Fudan
University and all 16 regional port administrations, is also being set up.
