Jing'an District police yesterday
said a foreign man had been detained for fabricating a Chinese identity card.
The suspect, surnamed Huang, whose nationality was not released, came to China
for business in 2004 but his partner refused to apply for a visa extension.
Huang used three fake IDs to apply for credit cards at local banks, and was
caught applying for another credit card with a fake ID.
