A 17-YEAR-old man was arrested yesterday and charged with killing his pregnant girlfriend who was 12 years older than him.

Minhang District prosecutors charged the teenager, surnamed Bian, with murder. Bian said he had killed the woman because he could not take her temper tantrums.

Bian met the victim, surnamed Shui, in March when he worked in a restaurant. Shui showered him with care and attention like a mother and Bian quickly fell in love with her.
