The Expo organizer yesterday began selecting about 30,000 people from across the country to take part in the 2010 World Expo.

Anyone from China's mainland, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, including foreigners living and working in the country, can take part in the nationwide "Expo Star" selection process, said Chen Xianjin, deputy director-general of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination.
