Chinese men in spouse quandary
24/2/2007 10:21

Chinese men born after the 1970s could find it difficult to find a spouse as many more baby boys were born than girls since the 1980s, says a report by the China Juvenile Research Center.
China's fifth national census in 2000 shows that 119.92 boys were born for every 100 girls. Heavy work pressures are also contributing to men's problems in finding a spouse, the report says. About 58.6 percent of the respondents in a recent survey say they have a narrow circle of acquaintances, and 27.1 percent complain they are too busy with work to date.
