At least 39 flights between China's Taiwan and Macau will be canceled Monday as typhoon Haitang, the most powerful storm forecast, is expected to hit Taiwan in five years.
Staff on duty at Macau International Airport told Xinhua through telephone that most of the flights by Air Macau, Eva Airways and TransAsia to and from Taiwan will have to be canceled over the typhoon concern.
Air Macau announced in Taipei that it would cancel all its flights Monday, according to local media reports.
Air Macau and Macau International Airport both opened the hotline telephone numbers through media for passengers to check needed information.
Macau operates daily passenger flights to and from cities of Taipei and Kaohsiung in Taiwan.
