Senior CPC official visits Kyrgyzstan

Senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Wang Jiarui,
yesterday arrived in Bishkek for a visit to Kyrgyzstan, according to information
from the Kyrgyz capital of Bishkek. Wang, head of the International
Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met deputy
chairman of the Kyrgyz ruling Ak Zhol people's party, Avtandil Arabaev. The
two officials hoped to further consolidate the party-to-party cooperation and
believed that advancing their party links will benefit the political, economic
and cultural ties of the two countries. Wang also met Kyrgyz parliament
speaker Aitibai Tagayev. The two shared the view that both countries should
promote friendly cooperation in all fields. Tagayev congratulated China on
the successful Beijing Olympics and Paralympics, which he said had showed
China's achievements in its economic and social development.
