Villagers wade through water flooding a village after a mudslide broke a river levee in Langhuan township of Xichang City in southwest China’s Sichuan Province yesterday. The mudslide and flood destroyed more than 20 houses and inundated many others in the township, trapping about 440 residents who were later evacuated.—Xinhua
