Hong Kong's security bureau yesterday again reminded Hong Kong residents
who plan to visit Thailand soon to keep themselves abreast of the situation
there.
"Those who are already in Thailand should attend to their personal safety and
avoid demonstrations or large gatherings of people," said the Security Bureau of
the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government in a statement.
The HKSAR government will continue to contact the Office of the Commissioner
of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in Hong
Kong and the Chinese Embassy in Thailand to closely monitor developments.
The Immigration Department of the HKSAR government said that it had not
received any new requests for assistance.
