China's top legislator leaves for visit to five African countries

China's top legislator Wu Bangguo left in Beijing today for a two-week
official goodwill visit to Algeria, Gabon, Ethiopia, Madagascar and
Seychelles. Wu, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's
Congress, is invited by Speaker of Algeria's National Assembly Abdelaziz Ziari,
President of Gabon's National Assembly Guy Nzouba Ndama, Speaker of Ethiopia's
Council of People's Representatives Teshome Toga and Speaker of Ethiopian
Federal Council Degefi Bula, President of National Assembly of Madagascar
Jacques Sylla and President of the Senate of Madagascar Yvan
Randriasandratriniony, and Speaker of the National Assembly of Seychelles
Patrick Herminie. Wu will also visit the African Union (AU) headquarters in
Ethiopia's capital Addis Ababa during his visit to the country.
