Shang Qi (?-1324), a native of Jiyin, Caozhou (present-day Heze), is also known by his zi (desgnated name) Defu and his hao Shouyan. As his painting was highly valued by the imperial court, Shang enjoyed almost the equal fame as Gao Kegong.
