After the one-day discussion on developing the World Expo 2010's theme "Better City, Better Life," Forum 2006 -- Expo 2010 Shanghai China successfully concluded.

Vicente Loscertales, the secretary general of the International Expositions Bureau (BIE) and Zhong Yanqun, standing deputy director of the World Expo 2010 Shanghai Executive Committee, made the concluding speeches, noting that the discussion among the scholars, experts and politicians positively contributed to the development of the Expo's theme.

"By sharing our ideas today, we are getting closer to the core of the theme," Zhong said, "And we are also gaining the confidence we need to host a successful Expo in 2010."

The topics discussed today all concern the theme of the forum, "Better City, Better Life- making it happen, making it last," but it also covered subjects such as the social problems cities will confront during the process of urbanisation and suggestions on the construction of the Expo site.
