30/4/2006 12:11

Motorola launched their limited edition MOTO Z1 mobile phone with Yao Ming's signature in Beijing on April 25, 2006. As a result of Yao Ming's involvement, Motorola announced that they would donate 300,000RMB to the 2007 Special Olympics World Summer Games. To celebrate the launch of the CDMA phone and the donation, Motorola invited Special Olympics athletes to play in a mini-exhibition basketball game at the MOTO Z1 press conference, hosted by Chinese TV host Li Xia.

The athletes from Chongwen and Xicheng Special Schools had a great time showing off their skills to Motorola and CDMA staff and media. After the exhibition game, Li Xia awarded all the athletes basketballs and books autographed by Yao Ming.
