The city¡¯s aviation industry and public transport bodies are ensuring barrier-free paths for the Special Olympics when it is held in Shanghai from October 2 to 11.

Volunteers will provide one-in-all service package for the athletes at Hongqiao and Pudong airport, where they will build a special path for the Special Olympic athletes.

Airlines companies like China Eastern Airlines and Shanghai Airlines will have a counter for the athletes during the Special Game, and one to one frontier inspection and custom service would be available, said an official from Shanghai Airport Authority.

At Shanghai Railway Station and Shanghai South Station, receptionists will provide a wide range of services for athlete delegations, including helping them buy tickets.

Shanghai¡¯s taxi industry has also carried on five services to welcome the Special Game, which includes giving those athletes a priority to take taxis, helping them carry the luggage and providing consultations at five monitor centers.
