Shanghai Daily news

World Expo Shanghai today launched the Japanese versions of its Website and its official magazine.

The Shanghai Expo Website now has four versions -- simplified Chinese, traditional Chinese, English and Japanese.

Content on the Japanese version (http://jp.expo2010china.com) includes an introduction to Shanghai, Expo news, participation guides and travel information for China.

The Website and the magazine create a new bridge and window to promote Expo 2010 in Japan, said Shanghai Vice Mayor Yang Xiong.

China's ambassador to Japan Wang Yi said the Japanese version will further enhance recognition of Expo 2010 in Japan.

World Expo Shanghai 2010 will provide the ideal image of a metropolis in the 21st century and will have a great impact on urban development, said Masahiko Koumura, head of Japan's House of Councilor Association to support Expo 2010.

The Japanese version of Shanghai Expo Magazine is designed for Japanese politicians and businessmen who are interested in the event. It will be published every two months.

The Japanese magazine will be delivered to Japanese institutions in Shanghai and will be available on China Eastern Airline's flights between Shanghai and Tokyo.
