Hua Junduo, China's commissioner general for World Expo 2010, yesterday met
with a delegation led by Omar Hilale, secretary general of Morocco's Ministry of
Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, and talked about the country's participation in
the event.
Hua extended a warm welcome to the delegation. Hua said China has a good
relationship with African countries, including Morocco. Organisers hope the
country will showcase its economic development and unique culture.
Organisers reserved one of the best regions in the Expo site for African
countries, said Hua. They hope the country wukk appoint the commissioner general
and confirm the pavilion type as soon as possible.
Hilale thanked Hua for his introduction and said Morocco wants to showcase
its best image at the event.
Morocco was one of the candidates to hosts of World Expo 2010, said Hilale.
They also want to absorb experience from Shanghai Expo organisers.
After the meeting, Hilale enjoyed a bird's-eye view of the Expo site and
appreciated the careful and hard work of the organisers. Hilale said he is
looking forward to the event.
