The China Pavilion at Expo Zaragoza in Spain will explore the theme "Humans
and Water - Return to Harmony."
The 1,200-square-meter pavilion will showcase the history of Chinese people
fighting with water, focusing on treatment of the two main rivers - the Yellow
River and the Yangtze River.
A cinema featuring a 180-degree screen will showcase China's experiences in
dealing with water pollution.
The high-tech sector of the exhibition will display technologies designed to
deal with future water treatment and thte relationship between water and the
nature.
The "Water" theme of the pavilion - organized by the China Council for the
Promotion of International Trade - will also emphasize returning to a harmonious
relationship with water following the exploitation of water resources.
Shanghai Expo will also take up a part of the exhibition to promote the 2010
event, holding a series of activities to show what visitors can expect in
Shanghai.
