Set in Tongmao Hotel in Pudong, Momiji has several different dining areas you can choose to dine in. Have fresh steak and seafood prepared in front of you on the Hibachi grill tables, or sit in tatami mat rooms with a large table you can reserve if you like to sit cross-legged and shoeless on the floor.
It will even provide a banquet room in November for about 60 people. The Japanese-style decor brings Japan to life by epitomizing its elegance and aura.
The essence of Momiji¡¯s Japanese cuisine is based on various elements of taste, cooking techniques and the use of the freshest seasonal ingredients.
Since the restaurant opened one year earlier, it has been committed to serving customers the freshest quality of fish available.
Pieces of sushi a la carte offer a wide variety of choices ¡ª including Norwegian salmon, deep-sea tuna, yellowtail, octopus and snapper. The quality of the fish is truly top-notch, and worth its sometimes hefty price.
The sushi lover will surely make more than one visit. Momiji serves a combination of authentic dishes for their Japanese
customers, alongside dishes that are easy for the uninitiated to try. If you¡¯re new to Japanese food, you will find shrimp tempura, assorted vegetable tempura and shabu shabu (beef hot pot).
The finely marbled and tender Japanese Kobe beef offered in the restaurant is highly recommended. The top grade 100-gram marbled beef rib eye steak costs 258 yuan (US$31.85) and 200-gram marbled beef steak is priced at 500 yuan.
