Yo-Yo Ma
The internationally acclaimed cellist will come to Shanghai again for a concert as part of the ongoing Shanghai International Arts Festival. The 14 Grammy Awards winner will collaborate with Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Lan Shui, music director of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra.

Pop Concert

Tokyo Orchestra
The Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra will be conducted by Myung-Whun Chung. Founded in 1911, the orchestra is the oldest in Japan.
South Korean cellist Bohn-Ihn Kon and Japanese violinist Sayaka Shoji will be soloists in this Shanghai concert.

Dramatic Musical

Dance Epic
A dance masterpiece created by internationally renowned choreographer Lin Hwai-min in 1983, ¡°A Dream of Red Mansions¡± is inspired by the novel of the same name written by Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) writer Cao Xueqin in 1760. Staged by the Cloud Gate Dance Theater from Taiwan, the dance¡¯s themes are compressed into four acts ¡ª spring, summer, fall and winter ¡ª symbolizing the eternal cycle of life.
