Senior officials from JTB Corp, Japan's largest travel agency, visited the
Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination yesterday.
Huang Yaocheng, the bureau's deputy director general, met with the JTB
delegation led by Makoto Mcrimcto.
JTB took part in the operation of the Aichi Expo 2005, in which it managed
the sales of ticket, the operation of car-parking registration, the planning of
theme pavilion, advertising and promotion as well as tourists' administration.
Huang expected to communicate more with JTB on ticket management of World
Expo 2010 Shanghai, which was under way to be carried out.
Mcrimcto expressed his willingness to share the experience. He said there
were many things worthy of Shanghai's attention to take for reference.
For example, the peak time of Aichi Expo did not come in the earlier period
as the organisers had expected. Instead, many visitors swarmed in during the
later several months. It may also occur to the World Expo 2010 Shanghai.
