Organizers of the 11th Shanghai TV Festival and 8th Shanghai International
Film Festival announced the list of jurors for this year's events, which will
both open on June 11. The seven-member jury panel for the film festival will
be headed by Chinese mainland director Wu Tianming, whose film "Old Well" took
home the Best Picture, Best Actor and Grand Prize awards at the Second Tokyo

such movies as "The Joy Luck Club," and German director Marc Rothemund, whose
film "Sophie Scholl" earned him the Best Director Award at this year's 55th
Berlin International Film Festival. The jury for the TV festival will be
headed by Zhao Baogang, a well-known director of Chinese TV programs, and Yang
Lan, a famous Chinese TV broadcaster and chairman of Sun Media Holdings
Limited. They will be joined on the panel by Todd Leavitt, president of the
US Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, and Lee Kang-hyun, president of a
South Korean producers' association.
