SEDUCING DOCTOR LEWIS
Synopsis: In the little
harbour village of St-Marie-La Mauderne, the vanishing fish stocks have
plummeted a once thriving community into decline, forcing the fishermen to rely
on government welfare. When a small company considers building a factory on the
island, the inhabitants see an opportunity for the village to be restored to
greatness. But the factory cannot be built without a resident doctor.
Seeking
to attract the young Doctor Lewis, Germain spearheads the transformation of the
village. It's the beginning of the seduction. From the women's dress code to the
food, even the patient's illness, everything is done with the soul purpose of
pleasing the doctor. While sometimes ruthless and often clumsy, even the most
disillusioned villagers rally to the cause. The entire village works
harmoniously and with great dedication towards trying to convince the doctor
that St-Marie-La-Mauderne is the ideal place to live.

is at a carwash when she becomes completely distraught at the glimpse of a man
with tattooed arms. Terrified, Manon hurries home and double-bolt the
door.
So begins a series of flashbacks. She remembers a summer day, when she
was 17, when she and her girlfriends, Anne, Claudie, Isa and Sophie, are getting
read for a party at Sophie's cottage. She remembers how much fun they used to
have together...and she remembers the young tattooed man who gave her a lift in
his jeep as she hitchhiked on the very night of the party. Since that time,
Manon has steadfastly refused to see her old friends: her survival depends on
avoiding anything that could remind her of the tragedy that marked her young
life.
But 15 years later, she realizes that despite all Stephane's kind
attentions, only her childhood friends can really help her overcome her
pain...
MANNERS OF DYING
Synopsis: Kevin Barlow will die

Cantos execution facility, intends to make sure of it. However Barlow chooses to
go, be it calmly or fighting violently to the end, Parlington feels confident

provide spiritual guidance, if needed. Doctor Lowe can provide pills to relieve
the tension. The tie-down crew, all veterans of many executions, work swiftly
and efficiently. All angles appear to be covered, until Parlington discovers
there are many more angels to Kevin Barlow than he had first imagined.
When
Barlow makes a baffling and unusual final request, a strange duel ensues between
the condemned man and the prison director. In this struggle there can be no
winner or loser, only two men faced with doubts and difficult choices to make.
The iron grip Parlington usually maintains on the execution procedure begins to
slip as the final hours become a maze of manners of dying.

populace as well as the shadow of Earl, his high-spirited father who abandoned
Jimmy and his mother when he was an infant.
Just as Jimmy begins his attempt
at leaving, Earl returns. And, we soon learn, he is just in time to see his son
confronted with the same dilemma that he faced years before.
Meanwhile, his
family and friends have other plans for him. Bobby, Jimmy's friend, finds it
incomprehensible that his buddy will just take off on his responsibilities,
leaving everyone else to "take care of the chickens and shit?!" To complicate
things further, Barb, Bobby's sister, the young woman with whom Jimmy has had
drunken sex with at a local bush party, claims to be pregnant with his child.
Things begin to look, when Barry, Bobby and Barb's father, is caught in bed
with Jimmy's stepmother, putting Stan into a violent rage resulting in Jan's
hospitalization and Stan's incarceration.
The drama escalates when Earl seeks
out redemption for his wrongs, with both his children. Realizing that Earl's
other child is Barb, the young girl that now claims to have been impregnated by
Jimmy, we recognize that Earl's mistakes are more profound than anyone
anticipated...
CQ2 (SEEK YOU TOO)

17-year-old teenager. She is too lucid about the people around her, about what's
going on in general and it hurts. Her rage to live seems to be hurling from
within her.

short sentence with steel-like good patience which she maintains by following an
intense physical training program. She becomes friendly with Odile. She was
imprisoned for the minor property damages done.
The day Jeanne is released
from prison, Rachel, instinctively, follows her. Little by little she manages to
become part of Jeanne's life. Jeanne can recognize the fault line's in the
personality of the young woman and helps her with the only tool she knows:
dance.
Jeanne and Odile can see that Rachel's talent for dance allows her to
transcend her depression; contemporary dance, a dance where her revolt finds
expression, opens her up to others, to her sexuality, to the first measures of
self-fulfillment as an artist.
And just as Rachel is coming of age, at the
moment she least suspects it's presence, her destiny will have her confront
violence once more.
THE WILD GUYS
Synopsis: Randall, Andy and Robin -
all modern men for whom "hunting and gathering" means looking in the produce
section of a grocery store - head north from Seattle to Lone Pine for a "soul
exploring" weekend in the woods. Each bring s his own, vastly different,
expectations and agendas.
When their guide, Stewart, turns out to be in need
of some guidance himself, the guys find themselves lost deep in the woods. And
without any food or shelter, their hike takes on deeper meaning as they argue,
cope with life - threatening dangers, are stalked by man and beast and start to
come to terms with their blind spots, bald spots and deeply hidden fears. The
weekend where nothing goes right becomes the weekend that changes
everything.
The film is a comedy that finds the humor in the absolute
sincerity of each of the characters. They are middle-aged men who are confused
about where life has taken them. They need some answers...any
answers.
