DEAR FRANKIE
Synopsis: Nine year-old Frankie and his single mum Lizzie have been on the move ever since Frankie can remember, most recently arriving in a seaside Scottish town. Wanting to protect her deaf son from the truth that they've run away from his father, Lizzie has invented a story that he is away at sea on the HMS Accra. Every few weeks, Lizzie writes to Frankie a make-believe letter from his father, telling of his adventures in exotic lands.
As Frankie tracks the ship's progress around the globe, he discovers that it is due to dock in his hometown. With the real HMS Accra arriving in only a fortnight, Lizzie must choose between telling Frankie the truth or finding the perfect stranger to play Frankie's father for just one day.

VERA DRAKE

However, she also secretly visits women and helps them induce miscarriages for unwanted pregnancies. While the practice itself was illegal in 1950s England, Vera sees herself as simply helping women in need, and always does so with a smile and kind words of encouragement. When the authorities finally find her out, Vera's world and family life rapidly unravel.

THE HAMBURG CELL
Synopsis: This semi-documentary study examines the lead-up to the cataclysmic events of September 11, 2001 - and specifically, the ideological shift of young Muslim Ziad Jarrah, as he's transformed from rich-boy student at the University of Applied Science in Hamburg to jihadist hijacker of United Airlines flight 93.

WE DON'T LIVE HERE ANYMORE
Synopsis: College instructors in a small university town, JACK LINDEN and HANK EVANS have an easygoing friendship involving runs between classes and drinks at the pub after work. Jack's wife TERRY is the best of friends with Hank's wife EDITH, and the four have dinner parties where, once the kids have gone to bed, the wine flows freely and the record collection is in constant rotation.
But the Evanses and the Lindens are not the happy couples they appear to be. For Jack and Terry, the Eveready tribulations of being parents of young children trying to make ends meet have taken their toll on the once passionate couple. And Hank, a self-absorbed writer adores his daughter and enjoys family life but is not at all interested in monogamy. Trying to find a way to make her marriage work under the new circumstances, Edith turns to Jack for comfort. What begins as a playfully lascivious affair erupts into a season of infidelity, leaving all four to sift through the emotional wreckage to find their way home.

ONLY HUMAN
Synopsis: LENI DALINSKY arrives home to introduce her fianc¨ŚRAFI to her Jewish family-her mother GLORIA, her promiscuous sister TANIA, Tania's contrary 8 year old daughter PAULA, her recently orthodox brother DAVID and her blind grandfather DUDU. Everything goes wonderfully until Rafi reveals he is Palestinian. Trying to ingratiate himself, Rafi offers to help in the kitchen, but accidentally drops the soup he was meant to defrost out the seventh floor window, killing a pedestrian below. Rafi extracts himself from the apartment to check on the body. Having checked on the victim, Rafi rushes upstairs, returns the soup and notices a family portrait of Leni's father which bears a very close resemblance to the corpse lying outside.
In a heightened state of anxiety, waiting for the sound of the sirens, Rafi is forced to continue supper named somewhat unpalatable by the first course being the soup. Leni goes into immediate denial terrified that the death of her father will force them apart and leave her to live with her dysfunctional family. Leni's sister Tania, single mum and part time belly dancer reveals her suspicion that their father is having an affair. This leads Leni to hope that her father's absence from the family dinner may not be due to the fatal accident but that he is closeted with his mistress back at the office!
Gloria is in a state of apoplexy and insists on going to the office to catch him inflagrante. The dinner is abandoned and Gloria drags the rest of the family with her to bear witness. While the search is on, Rafi and Tania slip off for a cigarette and Tania demonstrates her belly dancing technique to an ecstatic Rafi. Gloria, depressed by the lack of evidence, sits down beside Rafi and demands to know whether or not he finds her attractive. Rafi is frozen with shock: not only has he apparently killed the father and kissed the sister but now the mother is coming on to him...
