BALLET OF TWO DANCERS
Synopsis: This story
takes place at a small town in China with traditional architectural style and
unsophisticated people. It is a tradition of this town that men should go out to
earn money for his family. Degui, who goes to the North to find a job, marries a
woman. Neighbors then call her Wife of Degui. Wife of Degui is beautiful and
diligent, but unfortunately, she is barren and fail to give birth to a baby.
With a hope of being a mama, she adopts a child in order to seek some happiness.
But few days later, Degui dies in an accident. Every villager conceives that the
adopted child is not propitious and therefore despises Wife of Degui and the
child.
Although in adversity, Wife of Degui never gives up her hope. Neither
does she desert her child. She called the little baby Xianxian, in the hope that
one day she could dance like a fairy¡Because of this she and her daughter go
through numerous hardships.
UNIQUE LOVE
Synopsis: The deaf and dumb Zhu Xiang
has good craftsmanship of cooking Tofu, and raised the adopted orphan Xiu Nu
along. Although he is deaf and dumb, because the Tofu he cooked is good and
received by nearby resident favorably, he lives simple and happy.
Zhu Xiang
loves a blind girl, Hao Mei. Hao Mei loves Zhu Xiang too. They understand each
other very much. However the love between them cannot be accepted by the society
because of their disable, especially Hao Mei¡¯s elder brother Hao Liao. Hao Lian
willfully forced Hao Mei to marry a lame who becomes rich from fruit buseness.
From then on, Zhu Xiang is disheartened.
Hao Mei¡¯s life after marriage is not
happy, and goes back to Zhu Xiang. Her husband, the lame, brings peoples to Zhu
Xiang¡¯s home, and beat Zhu Xiang heavily. Xiu Nu is not satisfied with her
father¡¯s love affairs with Hao Mei. She runs away from home and goes aberrant.
Hao Mei feels responsibility for Xiu Nu¡¯s leaving and goes away. Zhu Xiang finds
Xiu Nu and begs her to go home. Xiu Nu refuses. Zhu Xiang disappointedly walks
in the traffic now. Xiu Nu rushes out to pull his father back. Unfortunately she
is heavily wounded by the car and becomes the vegetable.
Zhu Xiang tries his
best to raise money for Xiu Nu¡¯s treatment day and night. Many people offer warm
help to him. Zhu Xiang writes them down. One day, Zhu Xiang accidently meets Hao
Mei who makes a living as a performer. Hao Mei is now divorced and lives
poverty-stricken. After she heard of Xiu Nu¡¯s story, she comes to hospital and
takes care of Xiu Nu. She plays flute persistently to wake up Xiu Nu. Hao Lian
is deeply moved and decides to support their marriage. God is moved by the
efforts. Xiu Nu revives miraculously. They reunite happily.
With the help of
Dept. of Civil Affairs, Hao Mei is going to treat her eye¡¯s illness. Before her
leaving, she makes a sign language to Zhu Xiang¨CI love you.
THE COLDEST DAY
Synopsis: Xuezhi, a Beijing
lawyer, discovers his wife is having an affair with a young man. Having suffered
the bitterness of his parent¡¯s divorce, Xuezhi vows to save his marriage. At the
same time, his wife, Xinmei, cannot make up her mind between her lover and her
husband. Meanwhile, his client¡¯s wife, Xiao Bai Cai, after refusing to bail out
her jailed husband, wants to divorce her husband as she comes to know Xuezhi
more deeply.
Just as Xuezhi draws closer to Xiao Bai Cai, Xinmei decides to
say good bye to her lover and return to the family. Now Xuezhi is facing the
same dilemma as his wife once did.
For the sake of their little daughter,
Xinmei proposes to sign a contract with Xuezhi to preserve their family for

Synopsis: ENCOUNTERS IN
JUNGLE is a story about the experiences of Jiguang, Tianxiangm, Yunshi, A¡¯jiao,
and Xue under the settings of war. It depicts their metal activities through
love and sorrow, life and death. The value of life, the goodness of human
nature, and peace are its themes. In the film, there is blood of heroes, chilly

Synopsis: Guozhi Zhou was a
civil servant in civil administration office in the southwest China where it is
extremely cold and the air is thin. His work was to build houses for those who
lived in thatched cottages. As the new year was coming, he bought a second-hand
auto camera from the handicapped worker Yu. To build housese for those
villagers, Guozhi had to take pictures and register those who need new houses,
allocate funds and find manpower. His son always wanted to use the camera, but
Guozhi didn¡¯t allow him to touch it for the camera is for his work but not his
for the entertainment. Guozhi knew by accident that he had a cancer. But he kept
his illness to himself and worked even harder. At last, Guozhi passed away in
his own home.
Facing the camera, a family picture was eventually taken with
Guozhi¡¯s son holding the portrait of his late father.
BEAUTIFUL LAND
Synopsis: In the charming prairie
in western China, an elderly Kazak with his family lead a traditional nomadic
life. Although they are busy daylong, they feel quite and gentle.
Because of
love, a black courser carried with a girl breaks into their life. Thus, a fatal
crisis takes place in the old man¡¯s life. His son will leave for the far-away
city from the prairie. In order to press his son to stay, the old man decides to
give all his belongings to his son and expects his vidual eldest daughter-in-law

and in the tranquil prairie. QIXIA Temple 1937The story is based on a true
event. After the invading Japanese army occupied Nanjing city on October 13th
1937, they made a massacre in the city. In order to protect refugees and Chinese
soldiers, monks of Qixia Temple under the guide of Master Jiran created a
refugee asylum and aftercared over 24 thousand refugees. In the process of being
against Japanese army, many monks of Qixia Temple were killed by invaders. The
death didn¡¯t scare our heroes. They helped refugees, meantime, they also helped
Chinese soldiers cross the River and sent film, which records the inhuman
behavior of invaders out of Nanjing. Although these monks have no arms, they
still fought bravely, without the consideration of their own safety. And they
wrote letters to expose Japanese army¡¯s enormities, holding the belief of
leniency. At last, the just conquered the vice. These Chinese monks succeeded in
protecting their ancient temple and 24,000 refugees. The film tells us an
unknown story, promoting humanitarianism and patriotism.
FOR A PEACEFUL LIFE
Synopsis: The film portrays

Synopsis: During the summer
holidays you're just supposed to have fun. That's exactly what Panxing, Huo Da

old man not only loses his bucket of fish, but also his memory.
At first

Synopsis: The story happens in a village
on Zhujiang Delta in Guangdong Province.
Gui Shu and A Xiu were a couple and

Synopsis: Dingduo was a little girl.

Synopsis: Sangcun, a peaceful and

Synopsis: Qiangba's family are slaves from
