Twenty well-equipped movie facilities across Shanghai will unveil a
low-priced film card to help movie buffs enjoy movies at low prices, today's
Wenhui Daily reported.
With this card, priced at 100 yuan (US$12), people can
see 30 movies at these cinemas from 8 am to 1 pm on any day from June 11, when
the 8th annual Shanghai International Film Festival starts, through to the end
of next March. The normal price of a movie ticket is between 50 and 60
yuan in Shanghai.
More than 2 million people are expected to benefit from
this card, which has received good market reaction after being in use for half a
year on a trial basis at the Southwest Film Art Center in Xuhui
District.
