China's advisory body adopts decision on study of CPC proposal

The Standing Committee of the National Committee of China's top advisory
body passed Tuesday a decision on the study and implementation of a proposal by
the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on strengthening the
country's political consultation work. The decision urged the committees of
the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) at all levels to
fully understand the importance of the proposal, which is praised as a guideline
document that will direct the development of China's political consultation
cause in the new century. The proposal will facilitate the mobilization of
all active factors to build a harmonious society in China and is of great
significance in consolidating and developing the country's existing united
front, it said.
