The Standing Committee of the National Committee of China's top advisory body passed Tuesday a decision on the study and implementation of a proposal by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on strengthening the country's political consultation work.
The decision urged the committees of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) at all levels to fully understand the importance of the proposal, which is praised as a guideline document that will direct the development of China's political consultation cause in the new century.
The proposal will facilitate the mobilization of all active factors to build a harmonious society in China and is of great significance in consolidating and developing the country's existing united front, it said.
