China and Britain signed on Wednesday a deal on establishing a China-UK
energy working group.
During Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao's visit in London, Minister of China's
National Development and Reform Commission Ma Kai and Minister for Trade in
British Department of Trade and Industry IanMcCartney signed the Memorandum of
Understanding on Establishing China-UK Energy Working Group.
Under the deal, the two countries agreed to establish a comprehensive
cooperation mechanism on energy, to expand cooperation on gas and electric power
to the whole energy industry. And China and Britain would focus exchange and
cooperation on energy policy, development of renewable energy, energy saving
technology and improvement of energy efficiency.
