Chinese President Hu Jintao said today in Hanoi that China's development is
of great importance to peace and development of the Asia-Pacific region and the
world as well.
In a speech at the APEC CEO Summit, Hu briefed participants on China's
scientific outlook on development, which puts people first and aims at
comprehensive, coordinated and sustainable development.
Hu said that China's sustained and rapid economic growth has promoted the
development of the regional economy and the global economy.
The Chinese president is in Hanoi for a state visit to Vietnam. During his
stay here, he will also attend the 14th economic leaders' informal meeting of
the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) slated for Saturday and Sunday.
