
Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing (R) meets with his

Chinese and Peruvian foreign ministers said here Sunday that the two
countries will make joint efforts to expand their mutual-beneficial cooperation.
During a meeting with his Peruvian counterpart, Chinese Foreign Minister Li
Zhaoxing said that this year marks the 35 anniversary of the establishment of
diplomatic ties between the two countries and both sides had held a series of
activities of celebration.
"The Chinese side will seek this opportunity, together with the Peruvian
side, to constantly expand our mutual-beneficial cooperation, and enrich the
contents of our all-around partnership of cooperation to benefit peoples of our
two countries," Li said.
Peruvian Foreign Minister Jose Antonio Garcia Belaunde spoke highly of
China's development and reaffirmed Peru's recognition of China's status of a
full market economy.
He also thanked China for its years' support and aid to Peru, saying that
Peru is willing to join hands with China to push bilateral cooperation in all
fields to a new high.
