Chinese President Hu Jintao met here Friday with Pakistani Senate Speaker Ellahi Bakhsh Soomro and National Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Amir Hussain.

Hu spoke highly of bilateral all-weather friendship and all-dimensional cooperation and said the Chinese side will work with the Pakistani side to continuously push forward bilateral strategic and cooperative partnership.

He said China's National People's Congress has kept sound exchanges and cooperation with the Pakistani parliament, hoping that they will further expand exchanges and make contributions to deepening bilateral friendship and cooperation.

Soomro and Hussain highly valued bilateral friendship and cooperation.

Soomro said he hoped that both sides will expand exchanges between legislatures, business communities and youth of the two countries.

Hussain said the Pakistani parliament will continue to play a positive role in the development of bilateral relations.
