The Beijing Olympic torch relay started at 8:23 am local time today at the front square of China Museum for Fujian-Taiwan in the coastal city of Quanzhou, the third stop in Fujian province.

The flame's tour in Quanzhou city, situated in the southeast of Fujian province and also a place closest to Taiwan in the mainland, will last for half a day before moving to neighboring city Xiamen.
