The Olympic torch will set out its relay in Nanchang, the capital city of
Jiangxi Province, nicknamed "City of Heroes", tomorrow. The route arranged
for the relay will cover historic sites as well as modern architectures, which
provide the panorama of the city. Bayi Square, or August 1st Square, the
starting point of the Olympic torch relay, was built after the founding of the
People's Republic of China in 1949. Covering an area of 78,000 square meters,
the square is now a major recreation ground for city
dwellers.
