Chen Yunying, a law maker from Taiwan, talks to reporters before a panel deliberation on the reports delivered by the country’s top judge and prosecutor at the ongoing session of the top legislature in Beijing yesterday. Thirty-five officials at provincial or ministerial level, 930 at municipal level and nearly 14,000 at or above county level were investigated for embezzlement, bribery and misappropriation of public funds in the past five years.
