Wang Xianzheng, head of the State Administration of Work Safety, visited
some families of the victims of Sunday's plane crash in Inner Mongolia to convey
condolences from the Party and central government Wednesday afternoon.
Wang, who is leading the team the State Council organized on Monday to
investigate the tragedy, met three victims' family members at the Baoli Building
in Baotou City, where the plane crashed shortly after takeoff Sunday morning. He
briefed them on the latest developments of the investigation and government
policies to deal with the aftermath.
The 50-seat branch-line jet CRJ-200, with 47 passengers and sixcrew members
aboard crashed into a giant lake of Nanhai Park in Baotou in north China's Inner
Mongolia.
All the passengers and crew members died, and two persons on ground were
killed in the park, according to the latest official report.
