While people in northern China are feeling the extreme summer heat, residents
in south China is fighting against rainstorms and floods.

Meteorological Administration yesterday issued two weather alarms: more
rainstorms in the south and high temperature up to 42 degrees Celsius in the
north.
Temperatures ranging from 40 to 42 degrees Celsius will hit Shaanxi,
Shanxi and Henan provinces and Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang autonomous
regions.
Meanwhile, more rains are forecast in the flood-prone southern
China. Rainstorms will pelt Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and Fujian,
Guangdong, Hunan, Jiangxi and Zhejiang provinces, according to the forecast.
