The visiting New Party Delegation suggested hosting taekwondo event for the 2008 Olympics in Taiwan.

Yok Mu-ming, President of the New Party, said that many people in Taiwan hoped to see taekwondo hosted on the island in 2008, since the event is one of the local favorite sports.

But he also indicated that it was only a suggestion subject to the approval of the mainland as well as the International Olympic Committee.
