Chinese, Gabonese presidents vow to further bilateral ties

Chinese President Hu Jintao met in New York Thursday with his Gabonese counterpart El Hadj Omar Bongo Ondimba and the two leaders exchanged views on furthering bilateral friendship and cooperation.
Hu said Gino-Gabonese friendship and cooperation have entered a new stage with more political mutual trust, expanded cooperation in resources, energy and infrastructural construction and sound cooperation in international affairs.
Hu also voiced his appreciation for Gabon's one-China policy and said China will work with Gabon to further strengthen bilateral friendly exchanges and reciprocal cooperation.
Echoing Hu, Bongo said the Gabonese government hopes to further expand bilateral cooperation spheres and welcomes more Chinese enterprises to the country.
The two presidents are here to attend the summit on the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations.
