Zhejiang takes first rowing gold at National Games

Zhejiang rowers claimed the first title of the rowing events in women's
lightweight double sculls at the 10th National Games in
Nanjing today.
Zhejiang finished in 7:00.32 to upset Guangdong and
Beijing. Zhejiang and Guangdong had a fierce competition during the 2000m
course, and the former took small advantage in the final stages. Guangdong got
the silver in 7:02.82. Beijing took the bronze in 7: 19.54.
"Guangdong always
beat us in this event during the past four years, and this victory made us very
excited," said Chen Ai'na, a member of the Zhejiang crew with a smiling face.
