Three badminton stars, Guo Zhendong, Zhao Tingting and Cai Yun, received
Thursday their entrance notices to university on the sidelines of the badminton
tournament of the 10th National Games.
The three will study in School of Politics Science and Public Management of
Wuhan University after the National Games. Zhao Tingting got the notice before
fighting along with teammate Yuan Ting against Yan Wei/Zhang Jiewen, top women's
doubles players according to the latest International Badminton Federation (IBF)
rankings.
A Wuhan University official who acts as badminton referee at the National
Games handed over the notice to Zhao, delighting the 23-year-old shuttler, fifth
on the IBF rankings of women's doubleswith teammate Wei Yili.
Zhao Tingting/Yuan Ting was defeated by Yang Wei/Zhang Jiewen at 6-15, 2-15
in Thursday's games.
Guo Zhendong, Zhao Tingting and Cai Yun are China's badminton doubles stars.
Guo, 20, won the title of men's doubles at China Masters in September, while
Cai, 25, is the winner of men's doubles title at the All England Badminton
Championships in March.
