Gao Ling/Wei Yili and Yang Wei/Zhang Jiewen, China's top two women's badminton doubles pairs, will vie for the national title after they won their respective semifinal matches at the 10th National Games on Friday.

Gao/Wei, representing central China's Hubei province, made short work of Du Jing/Yu Yang, a promising pair from Liaoning province who won the doubles event at the inaugural China Masters badminton championships last month. The scoreline was 15-12, 15-11.

Guangdong's Yan/Zhang, world number one in the latest International Badminton Federation (IBF) rankings, defeated another Liaoning pair Zhan Dan/Zhang Zhibo 15-4, 15-9 to reach Saturday's final.
