Henan takes men's team sprint cycling gold at National Games

Henan snatched the men 's team sprint cycling title at the 10th Chinese
National Games in Nanjing , East China on Friday. Led by captain Gao Yahui,
Henan showed superb teamwork throughout to finish the race with a winning time
of 46.307 seconds. "We practiced really hard before the National Games. I
could not find any word to describe my excitement now," said Gao. Henan's
three cyclists started their cooperation two years, and made their debut at the
national cycling championships last year. The National Games gold is their first
major title. "We are all young and have a lot to improve. The victory gave us
more confidence to achieve better results," added Gao. Defending champion
Shanxi was edged into second place in 46.568, and the bronze went to Sichuan in
46.877 seconds. "We tried our best, but I felt a bit upset about the result,"
said Shanxi captain Gan Zhigang.
