Wu Peng renewed his own national record to take the men's 200m butterfly
title, collecting his third gold medal for Zhejiang at the Chinese National
Games on Sunday.
The 18-year-old powered down the stretch and touched the wall first in a
winning time of one minute and 55.78 seconds, shaving off 0.5 seconds off his
own record.
Wu thus became the three-times champion at the Games following his victories
in both the men's 400m individual medley and 4x100m free relay.
Chen Yin from Hebei finished second in 1:57.44 with Zheng Huazhang from
Liaoning third, 1.36 seconds behind.
