Veteran Jing Xuezhu defended her title in the women's high jump at 1.92 meter at the 10th Chinese National Games in Nanjing yesterday.

The 30-year-old Jing from Beijing, was the second place at the 2005 Asian championships. She edged out Zhejiang's teenager Gu Biwei, who took the silver medal with a result of 1.90 meter.

Gu Xuan from the Chinese Army placed third at 1.84 meter.
