Guan Yingnan wins women's long jump

China's top female long jumper Guan Yingnan notched up the gold at the 10th Chinese National Games on Wednesday.

The 29-year-old Liaoning native, who married her boyfriend from Jiangsu in 2003, endeavored for the host on Wednesday and clinched the title at 6.65 meters.

Guan, took the victory at the eighth edition of National Games but failed to defend her title four years later due to a sudden injury during the competition.

The best female long jumper in China retired after the ninth National Games but resumed her long jump career in 2003.

Guan took the top position on Wednesday with 6.65 meters, leaving Zhang Yuan from Guangdong to pick up the silver at 6.50 meters.

Liu Huahua from Hunan was third with a result of 6.47 meters.
