Altogether 170 miners have been confirmed dead in a colliery blast on November 27 in Heilongjiang Province, the emergency rescue headquarters said yesterday. One mine was missing. The victims included 168 miners working underground and two others working on the surface, the source said. The blast went off at 9:40pm last Sunday when 242 miners were underground at the Dongfeng Coal Mine. Only 73 of the mine workers were rescued.
